Proximity Field Technician
Matrix Design Group is looking for a Field Technician with a strong electronics and communications background to provide post-sales technical support to current and future mine sites in the Madisonville, Kentucky area. This is a salaried position working 45+ hours per week mainly on third shift.
Duties
The main duties of the field technician are to ensure customer satisfaction and assist customers with repair and support of the currently installed Proximity equipment.
Other duties will include training miner operators, taking new miners live, updating software, pulling log files, completing weekly system checks and maintaining the proper stocking levels of maintenance parts.
Responsibilities
- Become functional and technical expert on our products
- Manage service and support cases from initiation to resolution with proper documentation
- Increase customer satisfaction
- Provide feedback to developers on existing prototype products and assist developers with in mine testing for future products
- Other responsibilities as may occur in a rapidly growing company
Requirements
- Extensive travel in the Illinois Basin
- Ability to work underground in a coal mining environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as required. Lots of third shift work.
- A good driving record
- Maturity, discipline, excellent inter-personal and time management skills
- Dedication, drive, initiative and the ability to meet company goals and objectives
