Systems Engineer
Matrix Design Group is seeking an electrical engineer with experience in automated electrical systems including PLC’s and both AC and DC drives. This candidate must be able to both take direction from a project manager and lead projects. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks at the same time. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills required. Applicant must be a self-starter with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work alone or in a small team.
Qualifications / Skills
- BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar) degree
- 2+ years of experience
- Strong PLC programming skills
- Experience with VFD’s and motor control applications
- Knowledge of high/low voltage power distribution systems is a plus
- Safety-minded (safety must be a priority)
- Positive attitude is a MUST!
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Teamwork oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Quality-minded, resourceful, and dependable
Beneficial Experience
- MSHA electrical cards
- Mining application experience and background
- Automotive industry experience
